Rayburn Range Cookers

With so many models there’s a Rayburn to suit you

The Rayburn is a type of stove similar in nature to the AGA and is manufactured in Telford in the United Kingdom, at the same factory as the AGA.

The Rayburn was launched in 1946 with two hotplates, and one or two ovens and the ability to heat water. They improved upon existing designs by having easily adjustable oven temperatures (competitors were dependent upon the heat produced by the fire at their heart).

The original Rayburn came in a cream vitreous enamel finish. They were originally made in a factory in Falkirk which, at the peak of production, produced 1500 units per week, many of which are still in use today.

Offering a choice of fuel, size and design, most models are thermostatically controlled to automatically maintain a constant temperature.

For more than sixty years, Rayburn has been the warm heart of many British homes, leading the field in central heating range cookers. With its iconic design, absolute reliability and flexibility, it’s easy to see why the Rayburn has been such an enduring success.

Installation Information

DID YOU KNOW?

A RAYBURN COMES WITH A THREE YEAR PARTS AND ONE YEAR LABOUR WARRANTY.

The first step is to have a site survey carried out by a suitably qualified and competent installer (we would recommend contacting Martin Melville) to en-sure that you select the Rayburn that best meets your needs and requirements.

Gas and Oil fired appliances should always be installed and commission by qualified technicians with the relevant governing body (Gas Safe and OFTEC).

Gas Rayburns – A gas Rayburn must be installed by a GAS SAFE registered engineer.

Oil fired Rayburns – An oil-fired Rayburn should be installed by an OFTEC registered engineer, who will complete the necessary completion certificate.

Before connecting a Rayburn to its flue, or inserting into a flue that has been previously used, the flue must be thoroughly swept of any soot and loose materials.

We strongly recommend seeking our help to ensure you get best advice on the best Rayburn to suit your needs and what is needed for successful installation.
